Now in its 15th season, SPARX City Hop brings Clevelanders together to explore, experience and celebrate our city’s cultural gems unlike any other event. This year, the event will take place on August 19, 2017 and will include trolley rides from Playhouse Square to Gateway District, Ohio City, Superior Arts District, Campus District, Asia Town and the East Bank of the Flats, which will feature its second annual Flats Festival of the Arts.
City Hoppers start their day at the SPARX City Hop Main Hub in Downtown Cleveland. The Main Hub, located under Playhouse Square’s GE Chandelier, is home to an information station as well as musical and performance art. Trolleys pick up eager City Hoppers there at U.S. Bank Plaza and take them on guided tours of Downtown’ neighborhoods and Ohio City, making stops where City Hoppers can jump off the trolley to explore local art and neighborhood amenities. As City Hoppers adventure, they explore and celebrate Cleveland art and culture by meeting local artists, witnessing live performances and viewing local masterpieces.
